Role Overview

Warehouse Worker at Elliott Group, based in KEZAD Free Zone, Abu Dhabi. The role performs essential physical and administrative duties to support facility-wide logistics, including shipping and receiving materials, loading and unloading trucks, and managing the preservation, packaging, and storage of materials, supplies, and equipment.

Role Purpose

To execute receiving, inspection, warehouse organization, picking, packing and shipping operations with limited supervision, maintaining data accuracy in the ERP system and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures throughout all logistics workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Receiving, Inspection & ERP Data Entry

  • Unload sling loads and safely unload incoming delivery trucks using Forklift Trucks and other Mechanical Handling Aids.
  • Review packaging or advice notes against corresponding purchase orders (POs) and check for required compliance certificates as dictated by the PO.
  • Verify quantities and descriptions of goods against the PO, recording findings on the goods received note.
  • Mark any deviations clearly on the note and immediately alert the purchasing department.
  • Check for damaged items on receipt and isolate and report them immediately.
  • Tag incoming goods and place them in the designated 'Awaiting inspection' area.
  • Ensure all relevant receiving paperwork is distributed to the correct departments.
  • Determine which items require further evaluation; tag and receive them into ERP Inspection.
  • Officially receive items satisfying inspection (or those not requiring it) into the ERP Warehouse.
  • Locate inventory once ERP process has been completed into the correct location.
  • Process the receipt through the ERP system noting quantities, receipt routing, and document requirements.

Warehouse Organization & Inventory Control

  • Maintain the stores and goods-in areas (including plant, equipment, tools, and consumables) in a safe, clean, orderly, and tidy condition, actively controlling the integrity of their contents.
  • Organize warehouse locations to simplify daily storage and retrieval.
  • Ensure all items are placed in their correct locations, properly tagged, and preserved.
  • Periodically check the physical condition of goods stored in the warehouse.
  • Track and control the longevity of limited-life items, proactively advising the manager of impending expiration dates.
  • Maintain a completely separate area for damaged hold goods and dead stock to strictly prevent their inadvertent use.
  • Prevent the unauthorized removal or entrance of any item into the warehouse, ensuring every movement is recorded.
  • Allow only authorized personnel into the warehouse.
  • Carry out routine inventory checks and cycle counts as required.
  • Use the ERP system for inventory counts, make inventory adjustments and perform cycle counts as required.

Picking, Packing & Shipping

  • Pick items accurately according to pick lists and advise the order coordinator immediately of any discrepancies.
  • Ensure all picked items are in good physical condition, properly preserved and have not expired if inventory is a shelf-life item.
  • Assemble cartons and pack materials according to established company procedures to offer maximum protection during transit.
  • Physically construct wooden export crates specifically for bespoke parts and rotors when required.
  • Package items securely to prevent damage and loss during transit, physically ticking off items on the pick list as they are packed.
  • Mark boxes and cases with all required shipping and handling markings for regulatory purposes and to customer requirements.
  • Use the ERP system to transact for shipment and to produce shipment labels, documents and address labels.
  • Enter package details into the system to produce shipment paperwork for customs.
  • Meet specific customer PO requirements for special marking, inspection or packing requirements customer to customer.
  • Distribute final shipping paperwork and load outgoing trucks safely using required Material Handling Equipment safely.

Compliance & Continuous Improvement

  • Perform all warehousing, receiving, and packaging duties in strict accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Actively make suggestions to management for improving established systems and workflows.
  • Perform any other duties and tasks throughout the facility as directed by management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years of proven experience working in a warehouse environment.
  • Experience using ERP system (preferably Oracle) to transact and process inventory from initial receipt through to dispatch of order.
  • Advanced understanding of receiving inspections and experience inputting logistical data into tracking databases and ERP systems.

Additional Information

  • This is a full-time permanent position.
  • Based in KEZAD Free Zone, Abu Dhabi.
  • The role requires limited supervision most of the time and must be adaptable to handle other duties as assigned.
