Warehouse Storekeeper

Role Overview

Warehouse Storekeeper at Miral Destinations. The role manages essential warehouse operations including receiving goods, conducting quality inspections, storing items by type and temperature requirements, maintaining inventory accuracy, and issuing materials to internal departments and external clients across Food, Beverage, Consumables, Merchandise, Technical Services, Direct departments, and Zoological areas.

Role Purpose

Ensure the smooth operation and efficiency of the warehouse while safeguarding company assets, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety compliance, and delivering timely and accurate inventory management across all warehouse sections.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Checks

• Conduct opening and closing checklists.
• Manage chemical storage checklists.
• Complete F&B cleaning checklists.
• Monitor freezers, chillers, and dry store temperature checklists.
• Inspect equipment including forklifts, electric pallet jacks, weight scales, thermometers, and hygrometers.
• Perform ladder inspection checklists.

Receiving Operations

• Verify receipt of goods and materials against invoices, delivery notes, and packing lists in accordance with approved Miral purchase orders using 3-way matching.
• Conduct quantity inspections for all deliveries and shipments.
• Perform expiry, temperature, and weight checks for deliveries and shipments, including cafeteria staff meals.
• Acknowledge deliveries and shipments with warehouse stamps and required signatures.
• Transfer goods and materials to designated storage locations and assigned shelves.
• Apply barcodes to maintenance items, upload pictures in Maximo, and update bin locations in the inventory database using Eatec/Maximo.
• Perform physical verification of deliveries and shipments.
• Notify end-users of received goods and materials via email.
• Process internal and external Goods Received Notes and return-to-vendor requests.
• Submit credit note requests to suppliers.
• Process delivery and shipment rejection requests.
• Request import shipping-related documents for VAT claims such as bills of entry and customs paperwork.
• Monitor, coordinate, and replenish 5-gallon water bottles.

Issuance Operations

• Issue items in accordance with system-generated requisitions, work orders, and material requests.
• Issue goods and materials for direct department orders via manual requisition.
• Update requisitions with expiry dates for products with less than 3 months remaining in F&B categories and follow FEFO protocol.
• Update bin cards according to issued quantities and document numbers for all categories except Food and Beverages.
• Perform issuance cross verification with end-users.
• Execute inter-site transfers and fruit and vegetable transfers.
• Submit internal return-to-vendor requests through entity leader approval.
• Acknowledge dispatch of goods and materials to end-users with warehouse stamps and required signatures.

Inventory Operations

• Conduct maintenance and merchandise cycle counts and process them in inventory management systems.
• Conduct periodic counts for F&B, consumables, guest services, operations, and zoological areas and process them in inventory management systems.
• Submit inventory count sheets for entity leader review prior to submission to Inventory Control team.
• Notify end-users via email about expiry checks.

General Operations

• Manage temporary storage areas in the warehouse for other departments, obtain storage approval from warehouse management, and issue items through manual requisition and approved property removal forms.
• Maintain HACCP and ADFCA standards, keep warehouse areas clean and tidy, and restrict access to unauthorized personnel.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of operational experience in warehouse and supply chain.

Skills & Competencies

• Fluent in English.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Additional Information

• Role requires physical fitness and endurance including frequent lifting and manual handling.
• Work involves operating in various conditions ranging from cold environments such as freezers and chillers to outdoor sections.
• Adaptability required to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
