Warehouse Assistant

Role Overview

Warehouse Assistant at NOV, responsible for receiving, processing, and fulfilling orders while maintaining accurate inventory and a safe warehouse environment.

Role Purpose

The Warehouse Assistant receives and processes incoming stock and materials, picks and fills orders from inventory, packs and ships orders, and manages, organizes, and retrieves stock in the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

Receiving & Inventory Management

• Assist with receiving, unloading, counting, and stocking physical inventory in the warehouse.
• Open boxes, crates, and other containers.
• Inspect items to ensure they are not damaged or faulty and adjust inventory accordingly.
• Monitor and maintain stock accuracy by ensuring physical stock is in line with the inventory management system.
• Ensure all stock movements are recorded to maintain accuracy.

Order Processing & Fulfillment

• Pick items according to the Order form.
• Pack items according to specified packing guidelines.
• Ship and fulfill customer orders in the Inventory system, inputting appropriate tracking numbers and links.
• Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that delivery of materials meets customers' expectations and business timelines.

Warehouse Operations & Safety

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, inventory space, and workstations neat.
• Sweep and vacuum work areas.
• Organize the warehouse and work area for orderliness.
• Wear proper safety equipment.
• Ensure that internal delivery processes are adhered to.

Continuous Improvement

• Constantly work to improve processes.
• Make suggestions for productivity improvements.
• Sustain corrective actions to eliminate repeat issues.

Collaboration & Teamwork

• Communicate and collaborate with other team members.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school degree or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience.
