Warehouse Assistant

Role Overview

Warehouse Assistant position at Al Tayer Group in Dubai, UAE.

Role Purpose

Support the Warehouse Supervisor and Storekeeper in daily warehouse operations, ensuring proper storage, retrieval, and dispatch of goods to meet delivery timelines and maintain accurate stock control.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Stock Management

• Support the Warehouse Supervisor and Storekeeper in day-to-day operations by offering all support required for proper storage and retrieval of goods to facilitate timely delivery.
• Support supervisor in stock takes and cycle counts in order to keep overall control of stocks.
• Pick and pack stock based on pick lists and hand-held scanners for dispatching daily to customers and retail outlets.
• Perform all other warehouse operational tasks as assigned by the Storekeeper and Supervisor.

Receiving & Storage

• Offload shipments, physically check and notify any discrepancies; if no discrepancies found, store the items in an appropriate and orderly manner according to reference numbers, brand names, and other organizational requirements.

Pre-Retailing Activities

• Carry out pre-retailing activities such as pricing, tagging, and bar coding as per brand guidelines and requirements.

Health, Safety & Environment

• Maintain HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) practices in the working environment in order to minimize the opportunity of damage to property and injury to self and colleagues.
• Proactively remind colleagues to behave in line with the HSE processes defined by the company.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School / 12th Grade pass.
• 1 to 2 years experience in Warehousing.
