Role Purpose
Deliver consistent, high-quality service to all guests while assisting management in achieving high guest satisfaction scores. Recognize repeat guests and fulfill all reasonable guest needs with flexibility to adapt to varying business demands and shift patterns.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Service
- Greet and escort guests to their tables
- Present menus and provide detailed information on portions, ingredients, and potential food allergies when asked
- Inform guests about daily specials
- Offer menu recommendations upon request
- Provide excellent customer service to guests
- Recognize repeat guests
Order and Food Service
- Take accurate food and drink orders using POS ordering software, order slips, or memorization
- Serve food and drink orders
- Up-sell additional products when appropriate
- Deliver checks and collect bill payments
Table and Dining Area Management
- Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware, and glasses
- Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation
- Report any problems with dishes or kitchenware
- Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area
Compliance
- Follow all relevant health department regulations
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in a large luxury hotel property with at least 500 keys
- Proven work experience as a Waiter/Waitress
- High school diploma
- Food safety training is a plus
