Role Overview

German International School Abu Dhabi (GISAD) seeks engaged teachers for Secondary Levels I and II, with contract start date 01.08.2026.

The German International School Abu Dhabi is a recognized German international school with approximately 490 students from kindergarten through Abitur. GISAD was rated repeatedly as one of the best schools in Abu Dhabi by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge inspection in summer 2021. The school holds the seal of excellence "Exzellente Deutsche Auslandsschule" awarded by the federal-state inspection authority. For several years, the school has enrolled up to eight Emirati children per year group within an integration program beginning in kindergarten.

Role Purpose

To deliver subject-appropriate instruction to secondary students while actively contributing to school development, curriculum advancement, and community engagement within an international learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Instruction

• Deliver subject-appropriate teaching in Secondary Levels I and II
• Integrate modern teaching methods and technologies to support the learning process

Curriculum & Professional Development

• Collaborate on the further development of the school's internal curriculum and teaching materials
• Actively participate in the dynamic advancement of the school by introducing new pedagogical concepts and optimizing existing processes

Stakeholder Engagement

• Establish and maintain intensive, trusting communication with parents to ensure successful collaboration in the educational process
• Actively participate in school life through projects, excursions, and extracurricular activities

Qualifications & Experience

• Completed teacher training for Secondary Level I and/or II
• Subject-matter competence and pedagogical engagement
