VP - Hybrid Cloud & Container Platforms at Mashreq Bank, leading strategy, architecture, engineering, delivery, and operational stability of Hybrid Cloud and Container Platform infrastructure across on-premises and public cloud environments.

Role Purpose

Lead end-to-end accountability for the bank's strategic Hybrid Cloud platform estate, ensuring unified hosting of virtual servers and containerized workloads on a cohesive infrastructure that scales reliably across on-premises and public cloud while enabling seamless workload portability and future cloud expansion.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Strategy & Architecture

• Own end-to-end accountability for the bank's strategic Hybrid Cloud platform based on Red Hat OpenShift, hosting both virtual servers and containerized workloads on a unified platform supporting hundreds of business-critical applications.
• Establish architecture for Azure AKS Kubernetes platforms and Azure Stack HCI on-premise deployments.
• Enable future expansion of the platform into Microsoft Azure to support workload portability and hybrid deployment patterns.

Platform Engineering & Lifecycle Management

• Deliver full lifecycle management of the underlying platform stack, including compute, cluster architecture, storage and data services integration, resilience design, automation, observability, and operational governance.
• Manage the Hybrid Cloud data layer built on Pure Storage and Portworx to provide scalable, resilient, and portable platform services across Mashreq datacenters.
