VP – Customer Experience and Conduct Audit (UAE National ONLY)

Role Overview

VP – Customer Experience and Conduct Audit at Mashreq, based in the UAE. UAE nationals only.

Role Purpose

Identify and provide resolutions to risks across the organization through comprehensive audit engagements. Measure and quantify risks, recommend methodology and process changes aligned with best practices, and enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of risk management.

Key Responsibilities

Risk Culture & Assessment

• Maintain enterprise-wide awareness of risk culture across Mashreq, considering existing and emerging risks in designated domains.
• Assess business risks and controls in the digital domain and deliver practical, business-focused solutions to improve risk management practices.
• Support the Internal Audit Group's leadership team in formulating strategic, agile and practical approaches to provide assurance and advice on emerging risks across Mashreq's global operations.

Audit Execution & Reporting

• Lead, plan, execute and participate in comprehensive and complex audit engagements.
• Ensure all audits, reviews and other assignments are carried out as per laid down priorities and standards for identifying composite risks end to end and providing reasonable assurance.
• Provide enhanced focus on Customer Experience and other designated domains through dedicated audit engagements, thematic, end-to-end and integrated engagements.
• Issue audit reports with prioritized risks with accuracy, precision and completeness to senior management.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

• Promote a culture of collaboration by actively engaging with cross-functional Internal Audit Group teams.
• Offer support throughout the planning and execution of Internal Audit engagements to ensure optimal risk coverage is achieved.
• Provide value-adding advice and guidance to business through professional opinion in product development and process re-engineering as processes run through various areas.

Strategic Leadership

• Support the Internal Audit Group's senior leadership team in implementing the Internal Audit Group's strategic priorities in an independent capacity for the set of risk domains assigned within the growing Audit Universe of Mashreq.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant business domain with additional audit qualifications, such as CIA (Certified Internal Auditor).
• Up to 10 years of internal audit or banking experience.
• Demonstrated abilities in a banking environment in areas of increasing responsibility with exposure to multiple locations and regulators.
• High caliber person with proven track record.
• Specialized knowledge, expertise and thorough understanding of various risks and implications.
