TRANSPORT COORDINATOR

Role Overview

Transport Coordinator at DP World, coordinating and monitoring transportation operations to ensure shipments move on schedule, customer requirements are met, and service levels are maintained.

Role Purpose

Coordinate and monitor transportation operations across Micro-Transport Software platforms and dispatch workflows, ensuring shipments move on schedule, customer requirements are met, and service levels are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Scheduling

• Monitor and create missions in Micro-Transport Software based on daily operational schedules.
• Coordinate shipment arrangements with the dispatch team to ensure shipments are scheduled for pick up, loading, and departure to destination on time.
• Measure and control warehouse, transport, and documentation activities to ensure that timelines and service levels are met.

Reporting

• Provide daily reports generated from Micro-Transport Software as per customer request.
• Prepare necessary inbound and outbound status reports, billing, and any other reports as required.
• Ensure information is available for billing within monthly timelines.

Stakeholder Management

• Ensure customer queries are handled as per process.
• Proactively interact with internal and external customers and suppliers to provide complete transportation solutions.
• Liaise with transport operations and warehouse operations to provide regular updates for shipments and for timely receipt of PODs.

Additional Duties

• Execute any other duty assigned by the Line Manager from time to time to meet business requirements.
