Role Overview
Training Coordinator at HILL International. The role supports the development and delivery of technical training programmes across the organization.
Role Purpose
Assess employee competency and training needs, develop structured training plans and materials, coordinate classroom and e-learning sessions, and evaluate training effectiveness. The position works closely with internal teams, industry experts, and external training providers to build and improve organizational capability.
Key Responsibilities
Assessment and Planning
- Evaluate current employee competency and manage personnel appraisals.
- Analyze and identify the need for technical training in the company.
- Design an integrated training program based on identified needs.
- Develop training plans for the team.
- Communicate with employees to discuss technical issues they are facing.
Content and Materials Development
- Develop training material including outlines, handouts, and other exercises.
- Conduct training courses using innovative classroom techniques and standard or improvised teaching aids.
Training Delivery and Coordination
- Coordinate with industry experts for conducting classroom-style training and workshops.
- Schedule training sessions through e-learning platforms.
- Ensure all newly hired employees are given relevant necessary training.
- Collaborate with vendors hired for specialized training programs.
Evaluation and Improvement
- Evaluate job performance of employees to determine the effects of training after the end of each session.
- Collect feedback from trainers and trainees.
- Make necessary recommendations to improve training programs based on feedback and business requirements.
Compliance and Administration
- Inform yourself of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures in place within HILL International.
- Ensure continued compliance with these requirements while employed by HILL International.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager or supervisor.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor degree in related subject from an accredited university.
- Advanced project management certification.
- Minimum 10 years of overall work experience in relevant discipline.
- Knowledge of professional management processes and procedures.
- Experience and demonstrated ability to conduct training courses using innovative classroom techniques and standard or improvised teaching aids.
Skills & Competencies
- Ability to develop training plans for the team.
- Skill in personnel management and administration.
- Arabic language skills (preferred).
