Role Overview
Trainer at Groomy Pet, a division of United Al Saqer Group, based in Abu Dhabi. This is a newly established position within a pet care practice.

Comprehensive services include haircuts, deshedding, paw pad shaves, sanitary trims, eye and ear cleaning, and precise nail trimming. The facility is committed to providing a calm and stress-free atmosphere where pets have a positive grooming experience and helps pets look and feel their best.
Role Purpose
To oversee the daycare and boarding unit, provide instruction and conditioning to animals, assess their receptiveness to training, and identify any health or behavioral concerns. The role combines hands-on animal training with care and observation to ensure animal welfare and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Stakeholder Communication
- Speak with animal owners and trainers to determine their goals and expectations.
- Provide updates to other parties about the progress and condition of animals.
- Educate others about animals, their behavior, training, and the environment.
Animal Assessment & Training
- Develop an understanding of animal behavior.
- Determine animals' receptiveness to training.
- Create training regimes for animals.
- Monitor animals for health and behavioral issues.
- Learn about animals' unique abilities.
- Use positive reinforcement and other techniques to elicit desired animal behavior.
Animal Care & Welfare
- Feed and medicate animals.
- Provide general care to animals, including grooming, cleaning habitats or sleeping areas.
- Familiarize animals with human voices and contact.
- Check animals for health or behavioral problems.
Team & Culture
- Work closely with all colleagues.
- Nurture a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experienced dog trainer and handler with enthusiasm for small animals.
