Role Overview

Trainee – Assistant Branch Manager position at Emirates Islamic Bank, United Arab Emirates. This role supports the Branch Manager in overseeing daily branch operations, managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining operational efficiency, and driving sales goals.

Role Purpose

To support the Branch Manager in leading branch operations while acting as a leader and role model who motivates staff, fosters a positive work environment, and drives sales performance.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Compliance

• Assist in managing daily branch operations, ensuring compliance with bank policies and procedures.
• Ensure the branch is audit-ready and compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Identify and mitigate operational and financial risks within the branch.

Customer Service & Issue Resolution

• Handle escalated customer concerns and complaints professionally.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer issues efficiently.

Sales & Business Development

• Assist in developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve branch goals.
• Support branch staff in identifying and pursuing sales opportunities.

Staff Management & Development

• Supervise, mentor, and develop branch staff.

Financial Management & Reporting

• Assist in monitoring and managing branch budgets and financial performance.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements is an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong leadership and management skills.
