Wood PLC seeks a Principal Structural Engineer (TPE V) to join its team in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia.

Role Purpose
The Principal Structural Engineer will lead structural and infrastructure engineering work across multiple building construction types, foundation design, and support systems. The role combines technical delivery, design oversight, team supervision, and stakeholder coordination to ensure quality outcomes aligned with company standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Technical Delivery
- Originate new and revise existing engineering deliverables.
- Conduct structural and infrastructure works including different building construction types, building design, equipment foundation design, and pipe and cable tray support design.
- Perform technical report writing and preparation of presentations.
- Manage technical bid evaluation, vendor document review, and subcontract scope management.
Quality Assurance & Standards
- Revise and check engineering deliverables against company procedures, standards, and checklists.
- Maintain full knowledge of Aramco, Sabic, Royal Commission, SBC and HCIS standards.
- Apply professional level of ability in the application of standards, processes, and procedures.
- Maintain professional level of knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
Supervision & Team Management
- Supervise engineering work being produced by juniors.
- Delegate and distribute work and manage billability of team.
- Plan and complete work within allocated man-hours effectively and plan work to avoid slippage.
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Interface, coordinate and communicate effectively with the Project Manager and other team members.
- Coordinate with all disciplines as necessary in the preparation and development of deliverables.
- Ensure that other disciplines' input are incorporated into deliverables.
Site & Execution Management
- Conduct site visits and verify site conditions.
- Markup drawings and perform as-built activities.
- Manage deliverables submission with required quality checks and proper management of record.
Professional Development
- Conduct and receive trainings related to the job as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 15 years' experience in the oil and gas industry working for an established contractor, operator, or consultancy.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in structural engineering and design.
- Previous experience in SACS.
- Previous experience in the execution of FEED and EPC Projects.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, MATHCAD, Foundation 3D, STAAD and STADDpro).
- Ability to edit, open, and read drawings in AutoCAD or Microstation.
