TPE IV/Senior Structural Engineer

Wood PLC is recruiting a TPE IV/Senior Structural Engineer to join the team in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia.

Role Purpose

The Senior Structural Engineer is responsible for structural and infrastructure design work across building construction, equipment foundations, and support systems, while supervising junior engineers, coordinating with cross-functional disciplines, and ensuring all deliverables meet company standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Engineering

• Conduct structural and infrastructure works including different building construction types, building design, equipment foundation design, and pipe and cable tray support design.
• Originate new and revise existing engineering deliverables.
• Revise and check engineering deliverables against company procedures, standards, and checklists.
• Coordinate with all disciplines as necessary in the preparation and development of deliverables and ensure that other disciplines' input is incorporated.

Supervision and Team Management

• Supervise engineering work being produced by junior staff.
• Delegate and distribute work and manage billability of team.

Project Execution

• Plan and complete work within allocated man-hours effectively and avoid slippage.
• Conduct site visits and verify site conditions.
• Markup drawings and perform as-built activities.
• Manage deliverables submission with required quality checks and proper management of record.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Interface, coordinate and communicate effectively with the Project Manager and other team members.

Technical and Commercial

• Conduct and receive trainings related to job as required.
• Prepare technical report writing and presentations.
• Perform technical bid evaluation, vendor document review and subcontract scope management.
• Demonstrate full knowledge of Aramco, Sabic, Royal Commission, SBC and HCIS standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in the oil and gas industry working for an established contractor, operator, or consultancy.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in onshore structural engineering and design.
• Previous experience in the execution of FEED and EPC projects.
• Previous experience in SACS and other onshore engineering applications.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, MATHCAD, Foundation 3D, STAAD and STADDpro.
• Ability to edit, open, and read drawings in AutoCAD or Microstation.
• Professional level of ability in the application of standards, processes, and procedures and how they are used in work execution.
• Professional level of knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
