Therapeutic Area Partner (TAP) Hematology - Riyadh at Bristol Myers Squibb, Riyadh. This is a field-based role responsible for facilitating scientific exchange with healthcare professionals in hematology.

Role Purpose

The TAP serves as the primary point of contact for healthcare professionals, enabling meaningful, timely, and scientifically appropriate engagement across a broader range of stakeholders including treating physicians, clinical pharmacists, health economics and outcomes research experts, and multidisciplinary teams. The role supports the safe and appropriate use of BMS products while delivering against overall objectives and demonstrating BMS values. The TAP is expected to spend a minimum of 90% of working time in the field engaging with healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Disease Awareness and Treatment Landscape Expertise

• Maintain a high level of disease expertise in hematology.
• Collect and synthesize large volumes of clinical data and provide relevant insights to internal stakeholders to inform future strategic direction.
• Understand the treatment landscape, including healthcare professional mapping and territory dynamics.
• Identify knowledge and care gaps within the territory and implement learning programs to address healthcare professional needs.

Scientific Engagement and Product-related Communication

• Develop and implement a comprehensive territory plan in accordance with agreed metrics and KPIs.
• Prepare effectively for the presentation and discussion of information with healthcare professionals and respond to questions while ensuring medical accuracy.
• Maintain proactive communication with physicians and other healthcare professionals in support of approved indications.
• Respond to unsolicited scientific and product-related questions using internally approved tools.
• Maintain a high level of working expertise on emerging data related to BMS products.
• Collect and provide meaningful medical insights to internal teams to support strategic development.

Product Enlistment and Economic Value Engagement

• Develop hospital mapping to enable tailored plans for each hospital.
• Understand and develop the patient journey for each hospital to identify access barriers and facilitate formulary enlistment.
• Collaborate closely with key healthcare professionals across hospitals and institutions to support timely access and formulary enlistment of approved indications and products.
• Communicate the scientific and economic value of BMS products to healthcare professionals, including clinical pharmacists, treating physicians, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Discuss and deliver health economics and outcomes research evidence-based information to relevant stakeholders, including government agencies and healthcare organizations as appropriate.

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Execution

• Build strong working relationships with key external and internal stakeholders to fully understand healthcare professional challenges and concerns in a complex access environment.
• Develop and deliver plans aligned with cross-functional team and product objectives.
• Deliver scientifically meaningful programs related to disease areas and ensure effective execution of activities in support of the overarching plan.
• Proactively seek cross-functional input to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the treatment landscape.

Compliance

• Promote and uphold a culture of compliance.
• Adhere to all internal and external rules and regulations.
• Report any potential compliance concerns to management or the Compliance Department.
• Serve as a role model by consistently demonstrating ethical and professional conduct.

Qualifications & Experience

• Saudi National (requirement).
• Pharmacist with relevant pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience (Master's degree is considered an asset).
• Saudi Commission for Health Specialties valid license.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a scientific role within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Hematology experience is preferred.

• High level of scientific acumen, including the ability to interpret and present clinical data and effectively draw out clinical insights during dialogue with healthcare professionals.

• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of the healthcare system and access environment in Saudi Arabia.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including negotiation and strategic thinking capabilities.
• Excellent spoken and written English and Arabic language skills.
