Role Overview
Therapeutic Area Partner (TAP) Hematology - Jeddah at Bristol Myers Squibb in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This is a field-based role responsible for facilitating scientific exchange with healthcare professionals (HCPs) in hematology.

Role Purpose
The TAP serves as the primary point of contact for HCPs, enabling meaningful, timely, and scientifically appropriate engagement across hematology. The role engages with a broader range of stakeholders including clinical pharmacists, HEOR experts, multidisciplinary teams, and other relevant stakeholders. The TAP is responsible for supporting the safe and appropriate use of BMS products, delivering against overall objectives, and demonstrating BMS values. A minimum of 90% of working time is spent in the field engaging with HCPs.
Key Responsibilities
Disease Awareness and Treatment Landscape Expertise
- Maintain a high level of disease expertise.
- Collect and synthesize large volumes of clinical data and provide relevant insights to internal stakeholders to inform future strategic direction.
- Understand the treatment landscape, including HCP mapping, and prepare to address HCP information needs.
- Identify knowledge and care gaps within the territory and implement learning programs to address HCP needs.
Scientific Engagement and Product-related Communication
- Develop and implement a comprehensive territory plan in accordance with agreed metrics and KPIs.
- Prepare effectively for the presentation and discussion of information with HCPs and respond to questions while ensuring medical accuracy.
- Maintain proactive communication with physicians and other HCPs in support of approved indications.
- Respond to unsolicited scientific and product-related questions using internally approved tools.
- Maintain a high level of working expertise on emerging data related to BMS products.
- Collect and provide meaningful medical insights to internal teams to support strategic development.
Product Enlistment and Economic Value Engagement
- Develop hospital mapping to enable tailored plans for each hospital.
- Understand and develop the patient journey for each hospital to identify access barriers and facilitate formulary enlistment.
- Collaborate closely with key HCPs across hospitals and institutions to support timely access and formulary enlistment of approved indications and products.
- Communicate the scientific and economic value of BMS products to HCPs, including clinical pharmacists, treating physicians, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Discuss and deliver Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) evidence-based information to relevant stakeholders, including government agencies and healthcare organizations, as appropriate.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Execution
- Build strong working relationships with key external and internal stakeholders to fully understand HCP challenges and concerns in a complex access environment.
- Develop and deliver plans aligned with cross-functional team and product objectives.
- Deliver scientifically meaningful programs related to disease areas and ensure effective execution of activities in support of the overarching plan.
- Proactively seek cross-functional input to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the treatment landscape.
Compliance
- Promote and uphold a culture of compliance.
- Adhere to all internal and external rules and regulations.
- Report any potential compliance concerns to management or the Compliance Department.
- Serve as a role model by consistently demonstrating ethical and professional conduct.
Qualifications & Experience
- Pharmacist with relevant pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience. Master's degree is considered an asset.
- Saudi Commission for Health Specialties valid license.
- Saudi Nationals only.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a scientific role within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Hematology experience is preferred.

- High level of scientific acumen, including the ability to interpret and present clinical data and effectively draw out clinical insights during dialogue with HCPs.
- Demonstrate independence and initiative in further developing scientific expertise while building strong rapport and productive working relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver shared objectives.
- Ability to adapt rapidly to an evolving environment.
- Ability to plan and execute effective learning programs for HCPs.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of the healthcare system and access environment in Saudi Arabia.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including negotiation and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Excellent spoken and written English and Arabic language skills.
