Therapeutic Area Partner Cardiovascular – Riyadh at Bristol Myers Squibb, located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a field-based role providing scientific exchange, promoting and enlisting BMS cardiovascular products within an assigned territory.

Role Purpose

The Therapeutic Area Partner serves as the primary point of contact for Health Care Professionals (HCPs) to generate higher HCP engagement through timely scientific exchange and strategic promotion of BMS cardiovascular products. The role prioritizes safe and appropriate use of BMS products while achieving performance objectives and exemplifying BMS values across a broader sphere of stakeholders including clinical pharmacists, echo technicians, HEOR experts, and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

Scientific Exchange & Product Promotion

• Promote BMS cardiovascular brands through appropriate delivery of scientific messages to Health Care Professionals.
• Maintain a high level of disease expertise and product knowledge.
• Demonstrate deep marketplace, therapeutic, product and disease expertise based on thorough understanding of the disease area.
• Effectively prepare for presentation and discussion of information to HCPs and respond to questions while ensuring medical accuracy.
• Deliver scientifically meaningful programs regarding diseases and ensure flawless execution of activities to support the overarching plan.

Territory & Market Analysis

• Understand the treatment landscape including mapping of HCPs and prepare to address their information needs.
• Understand knowledge and care gaps in territory and implement educational programs to address HCP needs.
• Define and prioritize customer targets by conducting proper profiling and segmentation.
• Demonstrate very good knowledge of customer segmentation and targeting processes.

Account & Business Planning

• Prepare and successfully implement a comprehensive territory plan as per agreed metrics and KPIs.
• Develop account business plans that meet market and customer business needs.
• Ensure ultimate accountability for achieving results of mutually agreed business objectives by identifying and managing customers within distinct segments and executing tailored plans.
• Support resources allocation expertise working with multiple customer segments.

Stakeholder & Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong business partnerships with key stakeholders in all accounts, including Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), physicians and pharmacists, to position BMS as a strategic partner.
• Build strong working relationships with key external and internal stakeholders to fully understand HCP challenges and concerns in a complex access environment.
• Demonstrate proven experience of working with Thought Leaders and experts in their field.
• Interact with a broader sphere of stakeholders beyond treating physicians, including clinical pharmacists, echo technicians, HEOR experts, and multidisciplinary teams.

Access & Formulary Support

• Support formulary enlisting process.
• Initiate, develop and implement tactical plans for scaling up product penetration in coordination with the access, medical, and marketing teams and ensure products' availability to all potential prescribers and accounts.
• Understand and develop Patient Journey per hospital to identify access barriers and facilitate formulary enlisting.

Collaboration & Insights

• Collaborate closely with cross functional team members to identify and resolve customer needs appropriately and with high sense of urgency.
• Collect and provide meaningful medical insights back to the internal team to be actioned in support of strategy development.

Launch Support

• Support pre-launch and launch activities of new products as and when needed.

Compliance

• Work to the highest levels of integrity and compliance, adhering to BMS Standards of Business Conduct and Ethics at all times.
• Ensure full compliance with laws and regulations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Saudi National with valid SCFHS license.
• Pharmacist with relevant pharmaceutical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in a multinational pharmaceutical company including speciality care brands experience (recommended).
• Cardiovascular experience strongly preferred.
• Diversified experience in governmental and private healthcare systems.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively cross-functionally and independently.

Skills & Competencies

• Capacity to acquire scientific information.
• Very good knowledge of customer segmentation and targeting processes.
• Resources allocation expertise working with multiple customer segments.
• Proven experience working with Thought Leaders and experts in their field.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent command of English language.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with internet and email.

Additional Information

• Field-based role with a minimum of 90% time in the field with HCPs including interactions and activities.
