Role Purpose

To prepare detailed technical and commercial tender submissions for Electrical & Instrumentation systems on oil and gas EPC projects by analyzing tender documents, identifying scope and risks, developing cost estimates, and maintaining organized estimation records.

Key Responsibilities

Tender Analysis & Scope Definition

• Study and review Invitation to Tender (ITT), technical specifications, datasheets, drawings, and scope of work related to Electrical & Instrumentation systems.
• Identify scope boundaries, technical requirements, and project risks associated with the E&I discipline.
• Prepare technical clarifications and tender queries when required.

Cost Estimation & Pricing

• Develop detailed cost estimates including direct costs (materials, labour, construction equipment) and indirect costs.
• Prepare unit rate build-ups and pricing analysis using historical cost data and productivity norms.

Tender Submission & Documentation

• Assist in preparing technical and commercial tender submissions.
• Maintain organized estimation records, cost databases, and tender documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering.
• 5–7 years of experience in tendering or cost estimation for Oil & Gas EPC projects.
• Experience working with major EPC contractors or international oil & gas projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Electrical & Instrumentation systems used in oil & gas facilities.

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to interpret Single Line Diagrams (SLD), electrical layouts, instrument datasheets and hook-ups, and control system architecture diagrams.
• Familiarity with international standards including IEC, IEEE, NFPA, and API.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools for estimation and data analysis.
• Organized, committed approach to work.
• Strong interpersonal skills and team player mentality with high attention to detail.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Result-driven mindset with strong report writing and communication skills.
