Role Overview

Teller (Emiratized Role) at First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB).

Role Purpose

Process cash and teller transactions securely, maintain operational compliance, and support branch service excellence. The role contributes to customer satisfaction, operational accuracy, and achievement of key branch performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities

Cash and Transaction Processing

• Process cash deposits, withdrawals, transfers, cheque transactions, and foreign currency transactions accurately.
• Perform daily reconciliation of cash, valuables, and teller transactions to ensure operational accuracy.

Customer Service and Sales

• Deliver excellent customer service and support branch service quality and customer satisfaction targets.
• Promote and assist customers with FAB digital banking channels and self-service solutions.
• Identify customer needs and refer potential sales opportunities to relevant branch teams.

Compliance and Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with AML, KYC, operational risk, and regulatory requirements.
• Report suspicious transactions and safeguard customer information in line with bank policies.

Branch Operations

• Support audits, cash counts, reporting requirements, and branch operational activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of banking experience in a teller, cashier, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of cash handling and teller operations.
• Understanding of banking regulations, AML, KYC, and operational controls.

Skills & Competencies

• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced customer-facing environment.
• Familiarity with digital banking products and channels (preferred).
• Sales referral or cross-selling experience (preferred).
• Knowledge of foreign currency and remittance transactions (preferred).
• Experience in branch banking environments (preferred).

Additional Information

• Should be flexible to work in both morning and evening shifts based on business requirement.
