Role Overview

Technician, Anesthesiology at Medcare Royal Speciality Hospital (Branch of Medcare Hospital LLC), part of Aster DM Health Care.

Role Purpose

Support anesthesiologists and surgical teams by preparing, maintaining, and monitoring anesthesia equipment and related devices to ensure safe, effective anesthesia delivery and optimal patient outcomes in the operating room.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Preparation and Maintenance

• Prepare, check, and maintain anesthesia machines, ventilators, monitors, and related equipment.
• Ensure the availability and proper functioning of anesthesia equipment, airway devices, and emergency supplies.
• Monitor equipment performance and report any malfunction promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment checks, maintenance, and supplies.

Operating Room Operations

• Prepare operating rooms and anesthesia workstations before surgical procedures.
• Assist anesthesiologists during the administration of anesthesia and surgical procedures.

Safety and Compliance

• Follow infection control, sterilization, and patient safety protocols.
• Assist with emergency situations and ensure the readiness of resuscitation equipment.

Collaboration

• Coordinate effectively with anesthesiologists, surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications & Experience

• Valid DHA License as an Anesthesia Technician (mandatory).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant clinical experience in a hospital setting.
• Diploma or relevant qualification in Anesthesia Technology or a related field.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of anesthesia equipment, operating room protocols, and patient safety standards.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
