Role Overview

HVAC Technician – Chilled Water & DX Systems at AL GHURAIR.

Role Purpose

Perform operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems to ensure maximum equipment reliability and uptime while delivering high-quality maintenance services in compliance with safety, quality, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Maintenance

• Perform operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems.
• Maintain and repair chilled water systems, including chillers, AHUs, FAHUs, FCUs, chilled water pumps, control valves, and associated piping networks.
• Maintain and repair DX systems, including split units, package units, VRF/VRV systems, and ducted split units.
• Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance to ensure maximum equipment reliability and uptime.

Diagnostics & Repair

• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration-related faults.
• Perform compressor replacement, condenser and evaporator maintenance, motor servicing, and heat exchanger cleaning.

Refrigeration & Commissioning

• Perform refrigerant leak detection, pressure testing, evacuation, refrigerant charging, and system commissioning.

Control Systems & Technical Documentation

• Troubleshoot HVAC control systems, thermostats, sensors, actuators, and BMS-integrated equipment.
• Interpret HVAC drawings, schematics, P&IDs, and technical manuals for maintenance and installation activities.

Reporting & Record-Keeping

• Prepare service reports, maintenance records, and asset condition assessments.

Collaboration & Client Management

• Work independently and collaboratively with engineers, supervisors, clients, and multidisciplinary maintenance teams.

Qualifications & Experience

• Familiarity with HVAC safety standards, permit-to-work systems, and best maintenance practices.
