Technician - A/C

Role Overview

Technician - A/C at AL GHURAIR, performing maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of air conditioning and HVAC systems.

Role Purpose

Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install DX air conditioning units and associated HVAC equipment, ensuring optimal system performance and compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

System Maintenance

• Perform routine inspections on DX air conditioning units, split systems, and associated HVAC equipment.
• Execute preventative maintenance and servicing on all assigned systems.

Troubleshooting & Repair

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in DX systems.
• Repair or replace defective parts, compressors, fan motors, and control boards.

Installation

• Execute installation and commissioning of new DX units according to manufacturer specifications.
• Ensure installations comply with local building codes.

Refrigerant Management

• Safely handle, recover, test, and charge refrigerants in strict compliance with environmental regulations.

Documentation

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date service logs and repair records.
• Document equipment condition reports.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience working as an HVAC/AC Technician with demonstrated expertise handling Package units, Ducted Split units, and VRFs.
• Relevant technical degree, diploma, or vocational training in HVAC/R.

Skills & Competencies

• Read and interpret technical manuals, electrical schematics, and blueprints.
• Excellent physical stamina.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety protocols.
