TECHNICAL SENIOR COORDINATOR

Role Overview

Technical Senior Coordinator at Napco National. The role coordinates technical operations across product formulation, sampling, raw material trials, and regulatory compliance.

Role Purpose

To coordinate technical activities from product conception through sample validation and commercial production, ensuring all work conforms to customer specifications, Compact standards, and regulatory requirements while maintaining strict health and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

Product Formulation & Documentation

• Assist technical officer in finalizing Product Authorization Form (PAF).
• Review Formulation Change Request (FCR) and request any missing information from concerned parties.
• Create Bill of Materials (BOM), Route, and test requirements for FCR and obtain signature.
• Study and compare sample request to FCR when available.
• Create new product BOM, Routes, and properties for new commercial orders.
• Revise existing BOM, Route, and test requirements as needed.
• Keep machine limitations files updated.

Sample Management

• Check availability of Printing Engraving (PE) for sample orders and request when needed.
• Issue Cliché or Cylinder request to artwork unit for sample orders and follow up.
• Create BOM, Route, and test requirements for sample and obtain technical unit head approval.
• Update sample backlog.
• Pass sample specifications to planning for execution.
• Follow up with planning, production, and Quality Assurance (QA) on sample execution.
• Validate final sample for conformity to customer specifications.
• Create Technical Data Sheet (TDS) and Sample Dispatch Form; notify planning, Work in Progress (WIP) Warehouse, and logistics unit about sample readiness.

Quality Assurance & Comparison

• Compare new sales orders to FCR and previously executed sample orders; clarify any discrepancies.
• Perform TDS comparison upon request from purchasing department and test physical properties when A4 sample is available.

Raw Material Trial & Evaluation

• Plan testing of new Raw Material (RM) run-ability with technical unit head.
• Create required specifications of RM for testing reference.
• Update RM evaluation log and development samples index.
• Follow up with planning, production, and QA on RM trial execution.
• Validate final RM trial result for conformity to Compact standards.
• Send sample resulting from RM trial to customer for final validation if needed.
• Issue RM and supplier final disposition report.
• Reflect final outcome on the RM evaluation log and development samples index.

Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure Compact products conform to statutory, regulatory, and Food Safety requirements by performing regular tests at external laboratories.
• Update food safety team about test results.
• Issue Certificate of Conformity when required.

Health, Safety & Environment Leadership

• Enforce company regulations and policies regarding health and safety.
• Read and understand the Health and Safety Manual and Emergency Response Procedures.
• Carry out risk assessment in section of responsibility with participation and cooperation of subordinates.
• Pass to junior colleagues information and instructions received from weekly Health and Safety (HSE) meetings.
• Forward questions from subordinates to HSE meetings for answers when unable to respond directly.
• Ensure HSE procedures are adhered to in area of work.
• Ensure all subordinates are trained and fully understand safe working practices within their area.
• Establish required training for all personnel; ensure completion, understanding, and effectiveness.
• Remain aware of and ensure Health and Safety practices, local rules, and regulations are implemented in section.
• Ensure all checklists and audits within section are understood and effectively completed.
• Set safety standards for the rest of the section.
• Ensure all near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions are reported.
• Stop immediately any unsafe acts witnessed.
• Ensure any unsafe conditions are locked out until repaired.
• Report any new hazards immediately.
• Participate in cross auditing program.
• Ensure daily safety talk meetings take place in area of responsibility.
• Attend all safety meetings.
