Team Leader at Ali & Sons Holding LLC, a leading automotive organization in the UAE operating MG service centres across multiple emirates.

Role Purpose
The Team Leader oversees the day-to-day allocation and progress of workshop jobs, ensuring Technicians remain productive and that repairs are completed efficiently and to required quality standards. The role works closely with Service Advisors, Workshop Management, and the manufacturer to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Work Allocation & Monitoring
- Allocate work orders effectively to individual Technicians and monitor job progress.
- Ensure repairs are started and completed within agreed timelines.
- Monitor workshop productivity, efficiency, and lost time.
Workforce Management
- Ensure Technicians accurately clock on and off work operations.
- Provide technical guidance, support, coaching, and mentoring to Technicians.
- Ensure Technicians use the correct tools and equipment safely and appropriately.
- Promote safe working practices and the protection of customer property and the environment.
Technical Operations
- Assess customer concerns through inspection, road tests, diagnostics, or other appropriate methods.
- Translate customer concerns into clear and accurate work instructions for Technicians.
- Ensure repairs are carried out in accordance with manufacturer procedures and workshop manuals.
- Identify and support the resolution of repeat repairs and technical issues.
- Liaise with the manufacturer for technical assistance and required reporting.
Quality & Documentation
- Monitor repair quality and complete quality-control checks where applicable.
- Ensure all work performed and defects identified are accurately recorded on work orders.
Stakeholder Communication
- Liaise with Service Advisors to clarify customer concerns and work-order requirements.
- Support Service Advisors with initial diagnostic activities and vehicle handovers when required.
- Report work-quality, tooling, equipment, and resource issues to the Workshop Manager.
General
- Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by management to support departmental objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant automotive technician experience.
- Relevant technical certification or qualification is required.
- Previous experience in a Team Leader, Senior Technician, or supervisory role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair, diagnostics, and manufacturer procedures.
- Valid UAE driving license.
