Role Overview

Team Leader - Prepress Design at Al Ghurair. This role supervises the design team to achieve desired productivity, process effectiveness, and service levels in order to meet business objectives.

Role Purpose

Supervise the design team to achieve desired productivity, process effectiveness, and service levels in order to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Creative Delivery

• Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts to meet client specification requirements.
• Ensure that digital files for special operations such as spot UV, foil blocks, and die lines are made on time and forwarded to the production department to get the job delivered on time.

Team Management & Scheduling

• Assign duties to design staff to ensure that all jobs are completed on time as per production schedule and with improved productivity.
• Ensure that all resources such as digital printers, materials, and staff are utilized to the optimum in order to improve output and productivity.

Quality & Efficiency

• Minimize digital errors prior to plate output in order to reduce reworks to acceptable minimum.
• Reduce waste on all consumables in order to bring down department operating overheads to acceptable limits.
