Role Overview
Team Leader - Grocery at Majid Al Futtaim, a hypermarket position based in Kuwait. This role implements quality, range, and freshness standards to deliver exceptional customer experience and achieve set sales targets.
Role Purpose
The Team Leader - Grocery ensures all team members work optimally and that problems are addressed immediately to protect customer service. The role is critical for coaching and development to deliver exceptional customer service within the assigned section.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Pricing
- Oversee and implement the commercial policy agreed for store pricing.
- Provide input on price image and freshness image.
- Negotiate internal promotions with suppliers to reinforce the discount image within the section.
Inventory & Assortment Management
- Oversee the products assortment in the section.
- Control orders and follow up on deliveries.
- Identify slow-moving items and stock depreciation to help push sales before expiry.
- Oversee and implement initiatives to ensure lowest waste and shrinkage ratio and control waste items report.
Performance Monitoring
- Monitor the NPS in the section and work on improving areas that need development.
Team Leadership
- Ensure all team members are working optimally as a key motivator.
- Address any problems immediately so they do not impact customer service.
- Provide coaching and development to deliver exceptional customer service within the assigned section.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Commerce or Finance.
- 3+ years in retail operations role.
Skills & Competencies
- Pleasant and warm disposition with a customer service orientation.
- Clear communicator.
- People orientated and able to build team spirit and motivation.
- Detail orientated.
