Role Purpose

Support classroom learning and pupil development across the curriculum, working alongside the class teacher to help pupils become independent learners and thrive in all aspects of school life.

Key Responsibilities

Classroom Support

• Support groups or individuals with learning across the curriculum.
• Use school policies and methods to help pupils, such as phonics and math strategies.
• Record pupil activities and assist with administrative tasks including preparing resources, setting up the classroom, and creating displays.
• Encourage independence by questioning, modeling, and supporting personal organization and hygiene.

Pupil Engagement and Supervision

• Build positive relationships with pupils through meaningful communication, enthusiasm, patience, and respect.
• Supervise pupils during breaks, school trips, transitions, and specialist lessons.
• Manage behavior positively and act as a role model.

Professional Collaboration and Development

• Work closely with the class teacher to ensure effective communication and lesson preparation.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Report concerns about pupils to the class teacher.
• Seek support or training proactively for personal development.
• Stay flexible and contribute actively to the school community.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor Degree.
• Past experience in an education environment is desirable.
• UAE National required.

Skills & Competencies

• Develop positive working relationships with all members of the school community from children to teaching staff to administrative staff to parents.
• Use initiative, be flexible, and maintain a positive attitude.
