Role Purpose

Deliver engaging computing lessons and develop students' digital literacy and computational thinking skills across relevant year groups, while supporting student learning in coding and maintaining classroom technology in collaboration with ICT and STEM departments.

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum & Instruction

• Plan and deliver engaging Computer Science and ICT lessons across relevant year groups.
• Develop schemes of work aligned with the school's curriculum framework.
• Support students in developing coding, computational thinking, and digital literacy skills.
• Prepare students for relevant external examinations where applicable.

Assessment & Feedback

• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.

Technology & Resources

• Maintain and troubleshoot classroom technology and software.

Collaboration & Standards

• Collaborate with the wider ICT and STEM departments.
• Uphold safeguarding standards in all interactions with students.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Computer Science or ICT at school level.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong technical knowledge of programming and digital tools.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
