Role Overview
Tandem Line Team Leader at Lucid Motors. The role is responsible for leading and overseeing tandem line operations, ensuring precision manufacturing of stamped parts while maintaining world-class quality, safety standards, and operational efficiency across the stamping production area.

Role Purpose
The Tandem Line Team Leader plans and operates tandem press lines for precision manufacturing of stamped parts, ensuring world-class quality and safety standards while driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement in the stamping production area.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Production Planning
- Plan and operate tandem press line for precision manufacturing of stamping parts.
- Select and configure proper production schedule as per plan.
- Lead and execute automatic tandem line and set up die sets on line for new jobs.
- Set up and monitor machine performance to ensure quality and productivity.
Machine Diagnostics & Troubleshooting
- Utilize Siemens HMI screens to perform diagnostics and resolve machine faults.
- Troubleshoot tandem lines throughout the plant.
Quality & Materials Management
- Identify and report defective materials or operational issues to the supervisor.
- Ensure experience working with aluminum sheet metal and class-A surface parts for stamping parts.
Safety & Compliance
- Assist in ensuring 6-S standards of housekeeping are maintained in tandem line area.
- Ensure safety standards and compliance with work rules are consistently followed throughout tandem line.
- Report safety issues immediately to direct report.
Performance & Reporting
- Report on production output, efficiency, scrap rates, and other key performance indicators to shop management.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and collaborate with team members to meet production goals and timelines.
- Train and support team members to develop their operational skills.
Continuous Improvement
- Lead continuous improvement efforts by identifying potential process improvements.
- Suggest and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Technical associate degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics).
- 2–4 years of stamping experience, preferably laser blanking.
- Experience with tandem press setup and operation.
Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of safety and maintenance practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Proficiency with Siemens HMI screens.
