Role Purpose

Maintain the appearance and functionality of guest clothing and employee uniforms through mending, repair, and alteration services. Support hotel operations by managing uniform distribution, tracking, and quality standards while delivering guest services that anticipate needs and build positive relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Uniform and Garment Repair

• Mend, repair, and alter guest clothing and employee uniforms by hand stitching, applying adhesive patches, or using a sewing machine.
• Send damaged uniforms to appropriate locations such as seamstress, Housekeeping, or outside vendors for repair.
• Inspect uniforms for damage and remove substandard uniforms from circulation.

Uniform Distribution and Inventory

• Distribute clean uniforms to personnel according to company specifications.
• Record assigned and unassigned uniforms as they are distributed, returned, or cleaned.
• Issue replacement uniforms when needed.

Guest and Laundry Services

• Document guest requests for laundry, dry cleaning, minor repair, and pressing of garments in accordance with company specifications.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
• Anticipate and address guests' service needs and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Assist individuals with disabilities.

Safety, Compliance, and Operations

• Follow all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Complete safety training and certifications.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing ten pounds or less without assistance.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Teamwork and Communication

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
• Support team to reach common goals.
• Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
• Speak with others using clear and professional language.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• At least one year of related work experience.
