Role Overview
Systems Administrator at Leidos, Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. The Leidos Sentinel program seeks a Systems Administrator to support US Army Central Command G2 in Kuwait, providing IT repair, maintenance, operations, logistics, and engineering services to ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of Army Military Intelligence Enterprise IT Systems and network administration support for a Microsoft Enterprise software environment across multiple networks.
Company Overview
The program supports a dynamic team serving customers throughout the ARCENT Area of Responsibility, including both U.S. and coalition personnel. This is a deployed position.
Role Purpose
Administer and maintain Windows servers, desktops, and laptops across multiple networks and locations as part of the overall systems architecture, while supporting secure and reliable operations of Army Military Intelligence Enterprise IT Systems and managing virtual environments, storage devices, and user access to ensure data security and availability for customers both local and remote.
Key Responsibilities
Systems Administration & Maintenance
- Administer and maintain Windows servers, desktops, and laptops across multiple networks and locations as part of the overall systems architecture.
- Manage users, groups, and permissions with Active Directory.
- Administer and maintain virtual environments (VMware) and physical hosts.
- Administer and maintain storage devices (NetApp) across multiple locations.
- Collect, review, and store server log files to identify and remediate system issues.
Troubleshooting & Support
- Utilize command line tools (PowerShell) to troubleshoot systems hardware, software, and configuration issues.
- Conduct basic network troubleshooting in support of the datacenter and workstation/LAN connectivity.
- Assist Service Desk technicians as needed with Tier I and Tier II troubleshooting and patching of desktop systems, software (MS Office, Java, Adobe, etc.), printers, and server/network related issues.
Security & Compliance
- Apply security patches, IAVAs, STIGs, and updates (including operating system updates) for assigned systems.
- Coordinate and assist cybersecurity personnel with system accreditation efforts.
- Implement disaster recovery and COOP plans, systems, and operations in coordination with the Network team and other organizations.
Documentation & Change Management
- Document system configurations using Visio, PowerPoint, Word, or other tools.
- Document service structure, network, and server/storage architecture.
- Propose, defend, and implement system changes.
Leadership & Training
- Mentor, lead, and train junior technicians as directed.
- Participate in or lead special projects and day-to-day operations as assigned by the site lead, including surging to alternate locations for customer requirements or to backfill personnel.
Qualifications & Experience
- High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years experience; Associate's Degree with 6+ years experience; Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years experience; or Master's Degree with 2+ years experience.
- Systems administration and/or systems engineering experience.
- Experience with US Intelligence networks and organizations in South-West Asia or on a Camp Arifjan service desk (preferred).
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance required.
- Active 8570/8140 IAT II (or higher) Baseline Certification, such as Security+ CE.
- Active Computing Environment certification, Associate or higher, such as Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), NetApp, or the ability to obtain after hire.
- NetApp NCDA, VMware VCTA, CCNA, CASP, and/or ITIL certification (preferred).

Additional Information
Work Schedule & Availability
- Duty hours are 12 hours per day, 7 days per week, subject to local labor laws.
- 24/7 on-call availability required, including weekends and holidays.
Deployment & Location Requirements
- Current U.S. passport with at least 36 months validity and 5 blank pages required.
- Must successfully complete CRC processing and medical screening and be designated "fit for deployment" (including medical tests and BMI analysis).
- Must obtain and maintain host nation work visa, including required local/regional medical testing.
- Must be willing to live and work in the State of Kuwait or deploy to austere forward locations as required.
- Must comply with all corporate policies, local site policies, host nation laws, customs, and courtesies.
Compensation
- Pay range: $59,150.00 – $106,925.00. Leidos pay range is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
