System Administrator for Qatar at VAM Systems, based in Qatar.

Role Purpose

Provide system administration support across Unix and Microsoft platforms, manage virtualization and cloud infrastructure, and drive project delivery and technology enhancements for VAM Systems' Qatar operations and client organizations.

Key Responsibilities

System Administration

• Administer UNIX variant systems including Solaris, Oracle Enterprise Linux, and Red Hat Linux.
• Manage Microsoft environments including Active Directory, Exchange, SCCM, SharePoint, Server 2008, and Server 2012.

Infrastructure & Virtualization

• Manage backup systems including Veritas.
• Administer VMware and Hyper-V virtualization platforms.
• Support cloud architectures including Azure and Amazon.

Project & Process Leadership

• Lead projects and tasks assigned to the role.
• Provide ideas and initiatives to enhance assigned tasks and technologies.

Qualifications & Experience

• 3 to 4 years of experience as a system administrator.
• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or computer science.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in UNIX variant system administration (Solaris, Oracle Enterprise Linux, Red Hat Linux).
• Proficiency in Microsoft system administration (Active Directory, Exchange, SCCM, SharePoint, Server 2008, Server 2012).
• Backup system management skills (Veritas and similar platforms).
• VMware and Hyper-V virtualization skills.
• Cloud architecture skills (Azure, Amazon, and similar platforms).
• Project leadership and task management.
