Role Overview

Survey Data Processor at NMDC Group. The role involves managing daily data processing functions, maintaining databases, and producing quantity calculations and reports for ground improvement and marine projects.

Role Purpose

To provide accurate and timely processing and reports on ground improvement, dredging, filling, reclamation, and survey activities according to professional and international standards, while maintaining up-to-date databases and supporting project delivery across geotechnical and marine operations.

Key Responsibilities

Data Management & Processing

• Manage and handle data processing functions on a daily basis.
• Prepare databases based on daily production data.
• Keep updates of changes during project execution.
• Maintain and update survey databases with current information from Geotechnical and Ground Improvement sections.
• Process and update tender survey databases with up-to-date survey data from various clients.
• Independently manage and process survey data, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in support of dredging and marine projects.

Reporting & Documentation

• Produce quantity calculations and supporting documents for preliminary, weekly, interim, and final ground improvement activities based on vibro compaction results.
• Provide accurate and timely quantity calculations and reports on dredging, filling, and reclamation according to professional and international standards.
• Prepare, produce, and print supporting documents and charts based on accurate and up-to-date measurements.
• Provide the project contracts division with quantity reports.
• Provide accurate information to Manager based on actual work done, performance, accidents, delays, and work forecasts aligned with site activities.
• Communicate findings effectively to senior team members.

Data Quality & Operations

• Conduct routine data collection using survey equipment.
• Process and analyze survey data to create accurate maps and reports.
• Perform quality control checks on processed data.
• Resolve and troubleshoot problems affecting data processing functions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues.
• Initiate and implement best practices and standards in data processing functions.

Collaboration & Compliance

• Interact with cross-functional teams to process and integrate related data.
• Process related informational data and forward to appropriate personnel for approval.
• Work according to defined policies and procedures for effective, efficient, and professional functioning of the ground improvement division.
• Work according to HSE requirements and procedures.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, operational procedures, occupational health and safety standards, and environmental and quality standards.
• Assist in training and mentoring new team members.
• Be prepared to work above and beyond the scope of this role due to operational requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Marine Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Hydrography, Marine or Land Survey, Geodetic Engineering, or equivalent.
• 0–1 year experience in a similar role and industry.
• Basic certification in GIS or surveying preferred.
