Role Overview

Role Purpose
Provide centralized retail supply and maintenance support through inventory management, storage management, bar coding, and property utilization related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Apply established supply policies, day-to-day servicing techniques, regulations, and procedures with knowledge of supply operations and program requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Perform inventory management procedures, including ordering, receiving, and storing supplies.
- Select the correct stock for issue, create and process material release orders, and keep records on incoming and outgoing stock.
- Revise quantities ordered based on number of items on hand and review records for possible substitution of items.
- Establish and maintain stock records and other documents such as inventory, material control, accounting, and supply reports.
Receiving and Inspection
- Unload, unpack, inspect, count, segregate, and store incoming supplies.
- Compare packing lists, receipt documents, bills of lading, inspection reports, and other documents with purchase orders and requisitions to verify accuracy of stock data and quantities received against bills of lading and shipping documents.
- Assure stock numbers, prices, and sources of data are correct through use of Army Master Data File (AMDF), Supply Bulletins (SBs), supply letters, and regulations.
Reconciliation and Documentation
- Reconcile customer documentation with the PSRA and SSA on issues, receipts, storage of supplies and equipment, and financial discrepancies.
- Screen dues-out reconciliation listings and prepare cancellation and follow-up documents.
- Establish and maintain automated and manual accounting records and correct errors and exception documents.
- Reconcile open requests, repairable exchange items, and cannibalization items.
Reporting and Status
- Provide status on supply requests, shipments, and job-ordered items.
- Assist in validating property book inventories for equipment at the sites.
- Perform prescribed load list and shop stock list duties to assist the DSSTs.
Cannibalization and Maintenance
- Operate a Cannibalization Point in accordance with AR 710-2.
- Prepare Forms 2404 and 2407 to submit a work order to the maintenance department.
Storage and Material Handling
- Repair and construct fiberboard or wooden containers.
- Construct bins, shelving, and other storage aids.
- Pack, crate, stencil, weigh, and band equipment and supplies.
- Load, unload, and move stock using equipment such as forklifts and hand trucks.
- Climb a ladder and stand for long periods of time as required.
General Duties
- Perform other duties and assignments as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- High School Diploma required; some college preferred.
- Minimum three years' experience in Unit Level Supply Management and Property Control.
- OSHA 10-Hour General Industry certification.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAMS, and ULLS-G.
- Knowledge of principles and methods for accountability of supplies and equipment at retail and wholesale level, warehousing, and moving goods by air, rail, sea, or road.
- Experience with a customer service-oriented company.
- Ability to obtain a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in using a computer (desktop or laptop).
- Proficiency in using Microsoft productivity software.
- Proficiency in using email client software.
- Forklift operation.
- Other software and work management tools as directed.
