Role Overview

Supervisor - Workshop at Al Ghurair. This role leads workshop operations, manages service orders, and supervises technician teams to deliver quality vehicle repairs and customer satisfaction.

Role Purpose

Oversee daily workshop operations, manage incoming service and repair jobs, optimize technician productivity and efficiency, ensure quality standards are met, and drive revenue targets while maintaining positive customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Management

• Receive job orders for service and repair jobs from Service Advisors.
• Manage loading and provide detailed technical justification for additional repairs with cost estimates.
• Obtain customer approval for additional repairs.
• Raise material requisitions for approved additional parts and follow up on ordered parts.
• Keep Service Advisors informed of parts status.
• Ensure adequate number of vehicles received with service orders opened.
• Achieve budgeted revenue targets.
• Promote and sell value-added services, tyres, and accessories.

Customer Relations

• Resolve customer complaints with maximum effort.
• Ensure customers have a positive ownership experience.

Operational Excellence

• Achieve set target productive efficiency for the month.
• Maximize workshop productivity.
• Monitor service orders and work-in-progress (WIP) regularly.
• Ensure timely billing of completed work.
• Manage vehicle ready turnaround time.
• Achieve fix-right-first-time (FIRFT) targets.
• Exercise and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and workshop standards.

Team Leadership & Development

• Develop technician skills for cross-functionality.
• Update direct subordinates on daily and weekly performance.
• Coach and educate technicians on performance improvement and KPI achievement.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.
• Three to seven years of experience as a Workshop Supervisor in the Automobile Industry.
• Hands-on experience in the Dealer Automobile Industry.
