Role Overview

Supervisor – Floral Operations at Wynn Al Marjan Island, located in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.

Company Overview

Wynn Al Marjan Island will be the first integrated resort in the UAE, set to open in 2027. Located 50 miles from Dubai International Airport in Ras Al Khaimah, the resort will feature 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants, lounges and bars, a theater, a beach club, multiple swimming and wading pools, a five-star spa, a salon, a shopping promenade, and a celebrations and events center.

Role Purpose

Support the Assistant Manager – Floral in overseeing daily floral operations, maintaining quality standards and cost control, and leading the floral team to deliver exceptional arrangements and service aligned with Wynn Al Marjan Island standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Maintenance

• Supervise daily operations within the floral department.
• Check all conditions of flowers in the front area daily and freshen arrangements when necessary.
• Ensure that all fresh flowers and floral accessories are properly stored in good condition and stocked adequately.
• Conduct regular inventory of flowers, vases and accessories items.
• Maintain good quality and cost control on all flower arrangements.

Team Leadership & Development

• Train and supervise Team Members to create team spirit and improve standards of flower arranging.
• Assist the Assistant Manager with training Team Members to ensure job skills are constantly improved and developed in accordance with the established training plan.
• Always check the grooming of all Team Members to ensure compliance with established Wynn Al Marjan Island standards.
• Promote a work environment where employees feel valued, appreciated, involved and safe.

Management & Reporting

• Support the Assistant Manager – Floral in all phases of floral activities and alignment with all departmental activities.
• Consult the Assistant Manager – Floral for approval of any major changes.
• Act on behalf of the Assistant Manager – Floral during his or her absence.
• Report any irregularities found within the department.
• Make suggestions for improvement of operations.

Health, Safety & Sustainability

• Ensure that health and safety standards are closely monitored and constantly improved to avoid any health or injury hazards occurring from malpractices.
• Proactively participate in the hotel recycling program and promote a strict discipline to reduce, reuse and recycle wherever possible and appropriate.

Additional Duties

• Accept any other duties when assigned by the Assistant Manager.

Qualifications & Experience

• Three years' experience in a five-star integrated hotel or resort.
• Two years in a supervisory role.
• Previous experience in commercial floral preferred.
• Previous experience in large events, big-scale weddings and shows preferred.
• Experience in a luxury hotel or resort setting.

Skills & Competencies

• Fluent in English.
• Familiar with Western, Asian and Middle Eastern flower design.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Excellent communication and team supervising skills.
• Established leadership skills.
• Proactive, creative and innovative mindset.
• Presentable appearance.
• Physically fit.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
