Role Overview
Supervisor Audit – Financial Services position at KPMG, based in Dubai (DXB).
Role Purpose
Action the Audit Plan and provide clients with knowledge and business solutions in their respective markets by decreasing risks and increasing revenue through KPMG audit methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
Audit Planning & Execution
- Complete the planning for the audit
- Complete fieldwork and allocate work as appropriate to audit assistants
- Attend stock counts and follow up of the counts
Team Leadership & Development
- Coach audit assistants
- Mentor new team members
- Overall in charge for medium and large sized clients
Deliverables & Documentation
- Prepare financial statements, transmittal letter and any other deliverables
- Complete documentation and follow up of outstanding information
- Responsible for getting Partner and manager reviews done
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Keep manager and Partner informed of progress and issues on a job throughout the audit process
- Maintain good relationship with the client's financial management
Financial Management
- Prepare and analyze costs on the WIP for audits
- Prepare fee note requisition on a timely basis and follow up collection of debtors
Qualifications & Experience
- BSc in Accounting or equivalent
- Accounting qualification or equivalent (ACCA, CPA)
- Minimum 3 years' experience, including minimum 2 years post-qualification experience
- Prior experience in dealing with clients involved in real estate, construction and related industries and oil and gas sectors
- Hands-on experience in advanced audit methodologies
- Technically sound with thorough knowledge of IFRS and ISA
