Superintendent (I&C)

Role Overview

Superintendent (I&C) with KBR, based in Abu Dhabi for a PMC project. This role requires onshore site experience in MEGA EPC projects.

Role Purpose

Lead commissioning and operation readiness activities for sales gas and condensate systems, providing technical guidance to commissioning teams, EPC contractors and sub-contractors while ensuring compliance with licensor procedures and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Commissioning Leadership & Guidance

• Lead commissioning team, EPC contractor and sub-contractors within area of responsibility.
• Provide guidance and required advice and support to the Sr. Commissioning Manager.
• Monitor and track progress of commissioning activities in sales gas and condensate area.

Procedures & Documentation

• Review pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures.
• Review commissioning manuals issued by EPC Contractor or Vendors.
• Verify mechanical completion certificates requirements for various systems and subsystems.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Coordinate with Licensors and Vendors to ensure close monitoring of commissioning activities are within Licensors and Vendors guiding procedures.

Commissioning Execution & Verification

• Participate in commissioning meetings and other related meetings.
• Participate in troubleshooting analysis to resolve commissioning obstacles.
• Verify the readiness of systems and subsystems for MC and RFSU certificates issuance.
• Monitor and approve the close out of punch lists in area of responsibility.
• Ensure completion and handover methodology is proceeding in compliance with related contractual documents.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required.
• Minimum of twenty (20) years of relevant experience in commissioning and operation readiness positions.
• Experience in GCC region is preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar position in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.
• Preference for commissioning experience on sour gas, Hydrogen production, and Hydro-desulfurization projects.
