Role Overview
Studio Director at Emrb. This role directs live and recorded news programs, overseeing all technical and creative elements of broadcast production.
Role Purpose
To direct live and recorded news programs with precision and creativity, ensuring smooth execution of scripts, visuals, and technical elements while maintaining the highest production quality and adherence to organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Program Direction
- Direct live and recorded news programs, ensuring smooth execution of scripts, visuals, and technical elements.
- Implement creative camera angles, lighting setups, and studio movements to enhance visual storytelling.
Coordination & Collaboration
- Coordinate with producers, presenters, and technical teams to maintain the highest production quality.
- Supervise and guide cameramen, floor managers, sound engineers, and other crew members.
Technical Operations
- Troubleshoot technical issues during live broadcasts to minimize disruptions.
- Adhere to Asharq's guidelines and technical standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Media Production, Film & Television, Broadcasting, or a related field.
- Minimum 7–10 years in live TV production.
- At least 3 years in a Studio Director role at a major news network.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in broadcast production systems.
- Proficiency in vision mixing.
- Proficiency in robotic cameras.
- Proficiency in newsroom automation tools.
- Strong ability to manage teams in high-pressure environments.
