Store Manager

Role Overview

Store Manager at Apparel Group. The role is based in a retail store environment and reports to the Area Manager and Operations Manager.

Role Purpose

Achieve company objectives and brand standards by delivering exceptional customer service, maximizing sales, and leading retail staff. Ensure operational excellence, inventory control, and brand compliance across all store functions.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Target Achievement

• Brief and guide staff on achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
• Apply creative techniques to achieve and exceed store sales targets.
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge to effectively respond to and anticipate customer needs.
• Maintain knowledge of new products, trends, and fashion directives at all times.
• Ensure awareness of various brands within the group for suggestive selling to customers.

Staff Management & Development

• Manage the daily roster, leave, and grievances of retail staff.
• Provide staff with the skills and support required for maximizing sales.
• Supervise the store and provide feedback to the Area Manager regarding employee performance.

Inventory & Stock Management

• Ensure minimal stock loss and manage stockrooms.
• Ensure required stock levels are maintained to maximize sales.
• Provide feedback to the Area Manager and Operations Manager regarding products.

Store Operations & Compliance

• Implement operating procedures at the store in accordance with company and brand standards.
• Ensure brand and company policies and procedures are adhered to by all staff at all times.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards at the store in accordance with set VM standards.
• Conduct weekly audit of store administration and resolve discrepancies.
• Own end-to-end store operations responsibility.

Customer Loyalty & Retention

• Promote the Loyalty Program and Club Apparel Loyalty Program of the company for maximizing loyalty and repeat sales.

Store Security

• Ensure awareness and vigilance at all times of security in the store without any negligence.
