Store Manager

Role Overview

Store Manager at Apparel Group. The role is based at a retail store location and is responsible for overall store operations, staff management, sales achievement, and brand standard compliance.

Role Purpose

Achieve company sales objectives while maintaining the highest standards of customer service, visual merchandising, and operational excellence. Ensure retail staff have the skills, support, and direction needed to maximize sales and deliver brand standards consistently.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Revenue

• Brief and guide staff on achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
• Apply creative techniques to achieve and exceed store sales targets.
• Promote the Club Apparel Loyalty Program for maximizing loyalty and repeat sales.
• Ensure required stock levels are maintained to maximize sales.
• Stay updated on various brands within the group to enable suggestive selling to customers.

Staff Management & Development

• Manage daily rosters, leave requests, and grievances of retail staff.
• Provide feedback to the Area Manager and Operations Manager regarding employee performance.
• Brief staff on brand standards and company policies to ensure consistent adherence.

Store Operations & Compliance

• Implement operating procedures at the store in accordance with company and brand standards.
• Ensure all staff adhere to brand and company policies and procedures at all times.
• Manage stockrooms and ensure minimal stock loss.
• Conduct weekly audits of store administration and resolve discrepancies.
• Own end-to-end store operations responsibility.

Visual Merchandising & Standards

• Maintain visual merchandising standards at the store at all times according to set standards.
• Possess up-to-date product knowledge and maintain a fashionable, well-groomed appearance.
• Maintain knowledge of new products, trends, and fashion directives to effectively anticipate and respond to customer needs.

Security & Vigilance

• Ensure awareness and vigilance of store security at all times without negligence.

Qualifications & Experience

• Retail management experience in an apparel or fashion environment is implied by the role requirements.
