Store Manager

Role Overview

Store Manager at Apparel Group. The role is based at a retail store location.

Role Purpose

Achieve company objectives by ensuring the highest levels of customer service from retail staff, implementing brand and company operating procedures, promoting loyalty programs, and driving sales maximization while maintaining security and visual standards.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Performance

• Brief and guide staff on achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
• Apply creative techniques to achieve or exceed store sales targets.
• Ensure required stock levels are maintained to maximize sales.
• Promote the Club Apparel Loyalty Program for repeat sales.
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge to anticipate and respond to customer needs.
• Stay informed about all brands in the group for suggestive selling to customers.

Compliance & Operations

• Implement operating procedures at the store as per company and brand standards.
• Ensure brand and company policies and procedures are adhered to by all staff at all times.
• Manage end-to-end store operations responsibility.
• Weekly audit store administration and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure minimal stock loss and manage stockrooms.

Staff Management

• Manage the daily roster, leave, and grievances of retail staff.
• Provide staff with skills and support required for maximizing sales.
• Supervise the store and provide feedback to the Area Manager regarding employees and products.

Visual Standards & Security

• Maintain visual merchandising standards at the store at all times as per set VM standards.
• Ensure awareness and vigilance of security in the store without negligence.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience in retail store management.

Skills & Competencies

• Must be fashionable and well-groomed.
• Current knowledge of fashion trends and directives.
• Supervisory and staff management capability.
• Must be physically fit to stand for extended hours and heavy lifting.

• Provide feedback to the Area Manager and Operations Manager regarding employees and products.
