Store Keeper Warehouse - Technopark - Retail - Dubai

Role Overview

Store Keeper Warehouse position at Al Tayer Group in Dubai Technopark, UAE. You will supervise and maintain accurate inventory, oversee safe storage and movement of goods, and coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure timely, efficient operations and meet KPIs.

Role Purpose

Ensure the smooth flow of stock from warehouse to store by managing inventory accuracy, overseeing goods storage and movement, and coordinating warehouse team operations to meet performance targets.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management

• Carry out stock checks periodically to minimize or nullify stock loss or variation.
• Count and tag every item and organize storage in a safe and secured manner to avoid damage or loss due to improper handling and storage.
• Ensure that material is easily identified and retrieved as required.
• Handle customer returns and store with transfers to ensure stocks are updated within the SLA timeframe and are available for sale.

Receiving & Quality Assurance

• Inspect goods and material on arrival, compare items with the order to identify any shortage or damage.
• Report to authorities to take immediate corrective action if necessary (for example, lodge claim with insurance or the supplier).

Operations & Coordination

• Prepare all relevant documents for delivery or shop outs.
• Arrange for picking and packing of stock based on pick lists.
• Coordinate between warehouse assistants and drivers to ensure timely delivery of goods.

Health, Safety & Environment

• Maintain HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) practices in the working environment to minimize damage to property and injury to self and colleagues.
• Proactively remind colleagues to behave in line with HSE processes defined by the company.
• Review operational processes from a risk management perspective; identify and qualify new areas of risks.
• Escalate concerns to the HSE committee appointed by the company.

People Management

• Guide and motivate subordinates to enhance performance and produce quality work to achieve individual and company objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School or Intermediate education.
• 2 to 3 years of retail warehouse store keeping experience (retail industry experience is essential).

Skills & Competencies

• Good knowledge of material storage, distribution and transportation gained through formal training or work experience.
• Previous experience managing stock within a fast-paced retail warehouse environment.
• Working knowledge in any WMS (Warehouse Management System) is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Good computer proficiency with experience using MS Office, warehouse or inventory management systems (WMS experience is an advantage).
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
• Team management or supervisory experience with the ability to motivate and develop others.
