Role Overview

Storage & Data Solutions Intern - COOP at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). This is a hybrid role requiring an average of 2 days per week in an HPE office.

Role Purpose

As a Data Solutions/Storage Specialist Intern, you will work alongside experienced sales, presales, and technical solution architects to help position HPE's comprehensive storage portfolio and help enterprise customers solve complex business and data challenges. This internship provides real-world commercial and technical experience, immediate impact, and connection with other interns, supported by professional development, networking events, and mentorship from senior tech sales leaders.

Key Responsibilities

Presales Support & Solution Mapping

• Assist technical sales specialists and architects in designing enterprise storage solutions.
• Align customer pain points with HPE hardware, software, and tape-based data protection products.

Customer Presentations & Demos

• Help prepare compelling technical presentations, proposals, and solution briefs tailored to client requirements.

Market & Competitive Analysis

• Research market trends and analyze competitor storage offerings across on-premises, cloud, and backup/archival solutions.
• Support positioning strategies for HPE GreenLake.

Collaboration

• Work cross-functionally with internal product, engineering, and sales teams.
• Coordinate customer proof-of-concepts (PoCs) and technical deep-dives.

Sales Operations & Tracking

• Support the sales team with opportunity tracking and pipeline hygiene.
• Maintain internal tools to streamline deal execution.

Qualifications & Experience

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Information Technology, Business Administration with a tech focus, or a related field.
• Eligible for COOP training.
• Strong interest in enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud computing, data storage, and server/storage hardware concepts.
• Enthusiasm for technology sales, customer engagement, and understanding how enterprise technology solves business problems.

Skills & Competencies

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Arabic language skills are a strong plus.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and ask smart questions.
• Structured, analytical approach to investigating customer requirements and matching them to technical solutions.
• Collaborative, solution-focused mindset with a high sense of urgency and customer-first attitude.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced hybrid virtual and face-to-face corporate environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• On track to achieve strong academic standing equivalent to a 2:1 degree or higher.
• Experience as an active leader on campus or in student organizations who strives to make a positive impact.
