Stock Coordinator

Role Overview

Stock Coordinator at Apparel Group. The position is based in a retail store environment where the Stock Coordinator manages the receipt, inspection, storage and movement of merchandise to maintain accurate stock levels and ensure seamless product flow from stockroom to sales floor.

Role Purpose

The Stock Coordinator is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and storing merchandise while maintaining accurate stock levels, organizing products, and ensuring seamless flow of inventory from the stockroom to the sales floor in close collaboration with store management, sales associates, and team members.

Key Responsibilities

Receiving & Inspection

• Receive merchandise and count items physically and electronically to ensure accuracy of information.
• Inspect product quality and report discrepancies and damaged goods to the store manager or assistant store manager.

Storage & Organization

• Ensure proper storage and handling of merchandise to prevent damage.
• Classify and stock products in the stockroom according to store procedures to ensure quick product availability.
• Tag newly arrived stock and return products as per senior instructions.
• Maintain the highest standards of housekeeping.

Stock Replenishment

• Assist sales staff in replenishing stock on shelves to ensure product availability at all times.
• Check for missing price tags and report findings.

Inventory Management

• Record inventory inward and outward movements and maintain associated reports.
• Assist during stock take processes.

Store Operations

• Maintain awareness and vigilance of store security without negligence.
• Be flexible to work extended hours during sale and festival periods.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience in a similar stock, warehouse, or logistics role is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong organizational skills.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems to track and manage stock.
• Physically fit with ability to lift approximately 10 kilograms regularly.
