Stewarding Supervisor

Role Overview

Stewarding Supervisor at Hilton. This role oversees back-of-house operations and steward teams to deliver exceptional hospitality and operational excellence.

Role Purpose

To supervise daily stewarding operations, manage team performance, maintain sanitation and hygiene standards, and ensure seamless collaboration across kitchen, bar, and restaurant teams to support memorable guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Supervision

• Supervise daily back-of-house operations including utility stewards, dishwashers, and temporary staff.
• Oversee timely transport and cleaning of utensils and serviceware for restaurant and banquet operations.
• Supervise cleaning of back-of-house spaces to uphold sanitation and hygiene standards.

Inventory & Equipment Management

• Ensure proper inventory levels across stewarding operations.
• Manage equipment storage and distribution.
• Coordinate timely delivery of food and equipment for all functions.

Team Performance & Development

• Assist with day-to-day team oversight and shift scheduling.
• Provide coaching and professional development to team members.
• Conduct evaluations and recognize achievements.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Track breakage and loss reports to support cost controls.
• Update operating manuals.
• Assist with monthly inventories to drive efficiency improvements.

Collaboration & Support

• Partner with kitchen, bar, and restaurant teams to ensure seamless service.
• Assist team members across departments where needed.

Compliance & Standards

• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Uphold alcohol awareness regulatory standards.
• Ensure the highest standards of guest and team member well-being.

Qualifications & Experience

• Middle School Diploma equivalent or above.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in a 5-star category hotel.
• Minimum 2 years as a Stewarding Team Leader in an international brand hotel.
• Knowledge of HACCP.
