Role Purpose
Supervise daily stewarding operations to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, sanitation, and organization across all kitchen and food & beverage back-of-house areas.
Key Responsibilities
Team Management
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the stewarding team.
- Prepare duty rosters and allocate tasks according to operational requirements.
- Train, guide, and motivate stewarding team members.
Kitchen & Equipment Operations
- Ensure all kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery, cutlery, and glassware are properly cleaned and stored.
- Monitor the proper use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies.
- Monitor inventory and report shortages, breakages, or equipment issues.
Hygiene & Sanitation
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and sanitation in accordance with hotel and HACCP requirements.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and environmental standards.
Waste Management
- Ensure waste is handled and disposed of according to hotel procedures.
Inspections & Coordination
- Conduct regular inspections of kitchens, dishwashing areas, and storage areas.
- Coordinate closely with Culinary and Food & Beverage teams to support smooth operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in Stewarding, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Previous supervisory experience is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, HACCP, and safe chemical handling.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Information
- Flexible shifts required.
