Role Purpose
Utility Cleaners play an important role in supporting hotel operations by preparing fresh clean linen and spotless dining ware for guests, operating and maintaining cleaning equipment, and transporting dishware and linens across the hotel to ensure essential hospitality functions run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning and Sanitation
- Prepare fresh clean linen for guest use.
- Ensure spotless dining ware for guests.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools including dish washing machines, hand wash stations, linen washers, and dryers.
- Transport dishware and linens across the hotel.
Safety and Compliance
- Create and maintain a safe workplace.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.
Quality and Standards
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
- Uphold professional uniform, personal appearance, and communications.
Team Collaboration
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other employees and departments.
- Support team to reach common goals.
- Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
Physical Duties
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
Qualifications & Experience
- No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
- No related work experience required.
- No supervisory experience required.
- No license or certification required.
