Role Overview

Staff Nurse – OBGYN Ward at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Ajman (SKMCA), located in Ajman.

Role Purpose

Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to women throughout pregnancy, childbirth, the postnatal period, and to patients with gynaecological conditions, delivering compassionate, evidence-based care within a supportive multidisciplinary team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care Delivery

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to obstetric and gynaecology patients.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, escalating concerns promptly.
• Support patients and families through pregnancy, postnatal recovery, and gynaecological care.

Clinical Management

• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical guidelines.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with hospital policies and infection control standards.

Collaboration & Education

• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, patient-centred care.
• Provide patient education on postnatal care, newborn care, medications, and women's health.

Professional Development

• Participate in quality improvement activities and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Valid UAE License or eligibility.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in OBGYN Ward department.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong clinical assessment skills.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certification.
• Patient-centred approach to care.
