Role Overview
Senior Engineer, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) at Alfanar, supporting the implementation of HSE systems and practices across construction and manufacturing operations.

Alfanar Electric is the industrial arm, manufacturing low, medium and high voltage electrical construction products with operations in Riyadh and Jubail (Saudi Arabia), Dubai (UAE), and London (UK), plus a development and engineering center in Chennai (India).
The Alfanar Industrial Complex, located in the Third Industrial Zone on Al-Kharj Road in Riyadh, spans 700,000 square meters and houses the company's facilities with comprehensive infrastructure including a data and communication center and commercial zone.
Role Purpose
To support the implementation of HSE systems and practices by performing advanced risk assessments, monitoring site conditions, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. The role contributes technical expertise to improve HSE standards and supports emergency preparedness and response activities.
Key Responsibilities
HSE Compliance and Risk Management
- Conduct detailed HSE risk assessments and evaluate protection and prevention measures.
- Validate protection systems and verify compliance with international standards and company policies.
- Identify hazards, assess risks, and recommend corrective measures to reduce incidents.
Integration into Operations
- Apply HSE requirements within engineering and operational processes.
- Review technical documentation and designs to verify safety considerations and environmental compliance.
Training and Awareness
- Prepare HSE awareness content and support the delivery of training sessions.
- Provide technical information to employees and contractors to ensure understanding of safety rules.
Emergency Preparedness
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and participate in drills and exercises.
- Support the preparation of site evacuation procedures and response materials.
Monitoring and Reporting
- Perform HSE inspections and collect data on compliance and site conditions.
- Prepare HSE reports with detailed findings and recommend corrective actions.
Site Inspections and Audits
- Carry out on-site audits, inspections, and safety checks to ensure adherence to standards.
- Record and document observations, highlighting risks and required improvements.
Technical Documentation
- Draft and maintain HSE documentation, incident logs, and analysis reports.
- Support the preparation of root-cause analyses and recommendations after incidents.
Continuous Improvement
- Research and suggest updates to HSE procedures based on industry best practices.
- Analyze incident trends and propose enhancements to safety systems.
Delivery and Resource Management
- Perform planned activities to meet operational and development targets according to delivery schedules.
- Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time parameters.
- Provide periodic reports detailing deviation and execution of planned tasks.
Problem-Solving
- Solve related problems and escalate complex operational issues.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products, processes, or related activities.
Business Process Improvements
- Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures.
- Seek automation opportunities to improve efficiency.
General Compliance
- Comply with related policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products and services.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering or any relevant field
- 5 to 10 years of experience
